How this site and our quotes work. Short, in normal words, and nothing in here takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Who we are.
bitbibit Pty Ltd, a studio in Brisbane, Queensland. These terms cover using this website and what you can expect when you ask us for a quote. The work itself is covered by the quote we send you, which is the document that counts.
Using this site.
Read it, take the check, send us a quote request. That is what it is for. Everything on it is written in good faith and kept current, but it is general information rather than advice about your particular business. What we can actually do for you goes in the quote.
The free check.
The 20-question check is free and stays free. It runs in your browser, it is not a diagnosis, and it does not commit you to anything. It is a prompt to think with, not a professional opinion on your business.
Quotes.
- It costs nothing to ask
- There is no fee to request a quote and no obligation once you have one.
- One number, in writing
- We quote a fixed price with a not-to-exceed cap, so the number you approve is the number you pay. If the work turns out to need less, you pay less.
- Nothing starts until you approve it
- We do not begin, and you do not owe anything, until you say yes in writing.
- Quotes hold for 30 days
- After that we may need to re-quote, usually because a tool's own pricing has moved.
- If the job changes
- If you ask for something outside what was quoted, we tell you what it costs before doing it. No surprise invoice.
Your tools and accounts stay yours.
We set things up in your name, on your accounts, paid by you directly to each vendor at their price. We do not mark up your software, we do not hold your logins hostage, and leaving costs you nothing. Third-party tools are governed by their own terms and pricing, which they can change without asking us.
Your rights as a consumer.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing on this page limits those rights. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, it is limited to supplying the services again or paying to have them supplied again.
Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the acts of the third-party services we set up for you.
Our work and yours.
The words, design and code on this website are ours. Everything we build for you as part of a paid engagement is yours once it is paid for, along with the accounts it lives on. Our own tools, templates and methods stay ours to reuse.
Links to other places.
Where we link out, we do not control what is on the other end and we are not responsible for it. We link to tools we would set up for a client, which is a recommendation, not a warranty.
Which law applies.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
Changes.
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your job is the one in force when you approved the quote.
